Portal 2 is a first-person puzzle-platform video game developed by Valve Corporation. It is the sequel to the 2007 video game Portal and was announced on March 5, 2010, following a week-long alternate reality game based on new patches to the original game. Though initially slated for release in the last quarter of 2010, the game was postponed to the week of April 18, 2011. The game was released by Valve through Steam for Microsoft Windows and Mac OS X, while the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and retail Windows/OS X versions of the game are distributed by Electronic Arts. The game's release on Steam was preceded by a second multi-week alternate reality game, the Potato Sack, involving 13 independently-developed titles which culminated in a distributed computing spoof to release Portal 2 several hours early. Portal 2 primarily comprises a series of puzzles that must be solved by teleporting the player's character and simple objects using the "portal gun", a device that can create inter-spatial portals between two flat planes. The game's unique physics allow momentum to be retained through these portals, requiring creative use of portals to maneuver through the test chambers. My first model ever made for Portal, but since I can't use an actual modeling tool to save my life, I'm using a Hammer addon that allows you to export your vmfs to smds and compiles the model for dx8 and dx9. For the particles, I just wanted to show the particles that I added, been working on or edited. I already had a video of the ball's particles but I changed it to be higher res and less particles, so it looks better to me. I edited the cleanser particles so it would collide to only brushes. It comes useful in areas where the particles go through. Unfortunately, I couldn't seem to get the lasers to completely collide. The last particle is a water particles I'm working on based on the dynamic water particle someone else made, but I didn't copy and paste it. In fact, it was only a contraint to collide with objects. I'm still trying to get the color correctly. I already made the particles work for dx8 but I still need to fix the water, because dx8 make the image squares. The last clip is just a demonstration of what the model is used for. |

For some time, attackers have leveraged Search Engine Optimization (SEO) techniques in order to promote malicious web content targeting end users. Google has researched this phenomenon and recently announced that fake antivirus pages now represent 60% of the malware associated with popular search terms and these attacks continue to grow in prevalence. The Zscaler Research Team has also shown that some popular search terms from Google Trends, have malicious links to fake antivirus pages in up to 90% of all links within the first 100 results returned. Attackers have even managed to display malicious links as the first result for popular searches. Moreover, we have found that more than 50% of popular searches contain at least one malicious spam SEO link in the first 10 pages. Is Google doing enough to protect its users? In this talk, we'll debate that question.
